"The Thread Between Worlds"
This beautiful trout is crafted from 21 hand cut pieces utilizing a scroll saw. This style of woodworking is called "Intarsia". Intarsia first began in the early 1300's and continued through the 1600's. The art seemed to disappear until it resurfaced in the 1980's. It is still not widely known but it is an extremely unique style of woodworking. No dyes or stains are used. What you see is the natural color of the wood. Because of this each art piece is unique and one of a kind.
Featured Woods:
- Teak
- Oak
- Black walnut
- Maple
- Bloodwood
- Box elder
NO LASERS OR CNC'S used to create.
Measurements:
Art: 15.5" x 15.5"
Frame: ~17.5" x 16.25"
The featured frame is crafted from mahogany. The intent of the frame is to enhance and compliment the colors within the art piece. Different woods may be used for the frame depending on availability of materials. You will be contacted regarding any changes to the wood used for the frame.
Due to the intricacy and detail of these pieces I can only accept a few orders at a time. When custom spots are available the listing will display the number of openings until it is sold out.
